LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27, 2017-- Hillsides, a Southern California foster care charity, raised $370,000 during its annual gala, themed Las Flores de Hillsides, held on February 25 at The Langham Huntington Pasadena. Some 360 guests enjoyed cuisine, drinks, décor and entertainment with a Latin American flare as they raised money for the 13,000 children, youth and families Hillsides serves. “It was wonderful to see so many of our supporters at our gala, which is our largest fundraiser of the year,” said Hillsides president and chief executive officer Joseph M. Costa.

Hillsides, a foster care charity, held a gala sponsor reception for donors on January 31 at Alma de la Rosa restaurant in Pasadena.  Some 70 guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks at the new restaurant owned by Robert and Deborah Simon, the site of the former AKA Bistro in Old Town Pasadena.

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 20, 2016 -   Actor Robert Patrick of the CBS show “Scorpion” and some 125 fellow riders from the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club Chapter 101 and other local motorcycle clubs took part in a toy run this weekend for Hillsides, a foster care charity.  The riders rode from Canyon Country to Hillsides main campus in Pasadena with a truck load of holiday gifts. Actors Mike Beach and Emilio Rivera from the FX  show “Sons of Anarchy” were also among the riders.

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 14, 2016 – For the second year in a row, Stephanie Castillo has arranged a holiday toy drive for the children of Hillsides, a foster care charity headquartered in Pasadena.  She gathered together a group of co-workers, family, and friends, and together, they donated some 75 gifts for the children. And while each holiday season, some 300 generous supporters provided gifts for the families and children Hillsides serves, Castillo stands out.

LOS ANGELES, CA December 7, 2016 – On December 6, the Hillsides Guild, a support group of the foster care charity Hillsides, hosted a sold-out holiday celebration at the Parkway Grill in Pasadena, California. Some 150 guests enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, dinner and a holiday performance by the renowned Citrus Singers of Citrus College in the holiday-adorned restaurant voted "One of America's Top Tables" by Gourmet  magazine. The dinner was chaired by Guild members Donna De Mond and Patty McAllister.
